Shoten is a doujinshi drawn by CLAMP at the end of the 80s and beginning of the 90s. It was a production with a comical tendence, reminding works like Man of Many Faces or Combination. CLAMP began with Shoten before Derayd itself and takes advantage of the doujinshi to experience the drawing techniques. The graphics of the last numbers ends pretty close to Tokyo Babylon's. It should also be noted the studio's trends to explore homosexual relationships, but these are treated lightly here. To sum up, it could be said that Shoten compiles various little stories that sometimes have nothing to do with one another. However, since there is many of the characters, it happens that it hides some precious indications about the past of some supporting characters. It's also described how Ashura-ô y Taishaku-ten (from RG Veda) have a new life, now both teachers to the Clamp Gakuen (Clamp Campus).
